Letter D Art Activities
Aside from cute and fun art activities, children also benefit from gustatory activities related to the lesson they’re learning.
As they eat, almost all the senses are activated:
- Sense of Sight: What the food looks like. Color, size, shape, etc.
- Sense of Smell: Is it aromatic? Pungent? With mild or strong scent?
- Sense of Touch: Soft and squishy? Or hard and crunchy? What’s the texture of the food?
- Sense of Hearing? Is there a crunchy sound with each bite?
- Sense of Taste: Yummy? Sweet? Spicy? Delicious?
Clearly, eating gives a lot of information to the child. And if we can relate that experience with a lesson, there will be a higher chance of retention.
