Letter F Art Activities
Toddler-years is the best time to teach children to love their country. This will help them further develop a sense of belonging- that they belong and are loved by their family, and of the state.
Lessons about love for country don’t need to be deep and abstract- honestly, who enjoys that?
It can actually be as simple as introducing the flag and playing the national anthem in the background.
You may also introduce the name of your country to your child and tell him of his nationality.
Leave the history and the constitution for when he gets older. 😛
For now, talking about the colors of the flag is more than enough. And this F is for Flag: Paper Pasting Activity is a good start.
Here is a quick guideline on how to teach the letter Ff:
- Show your country’s flag to your child. Talk about the color that he sees. Or discuss about other distinctive symbols (e.g. star sun, animal, etc…) Say the word flag while emphasizing the beginning sound, /f/, /f/, /f/.

Materials:
- outline of a cup
- glue
- coloured paper cut-outs
Directions:
- Paste the paper cut-outs on the cup outline. Try to stay within the lines.
Teacher’s Note:
Instill the love of country to your child as early as toddler years.
