Let’s learn about the interesting letter I through this preschool activity- I is for Ice Cream Art and Craft Activity!
My student and I love the summer season. There are just so many things that we can do. And so many places to explore.
Suffice it to say, the weather is just really conducive for learning.
But, in as much as the weather is good for exploration, it can also get uncomfortable, especially when it gets really hot.
Good thing we can cool ourselves off by swimming and eating ice cream!
Yes, ice cream! We scream for ice cream!
And you know me, I take teachable moments like this to a higher level if I can.
In this case, I came up with an alphabet art to help students learn the letter I and its long sound.
This letter craft addresses the following learning objectives:
- master the letter I through a visual cue (image of an ice cream) and an auditory cue (beginning sound of the word ice cream)
- Develop fine motor skills
- Promote creativity and imagination
