Have fun and learn about the letter E through this preschool art activity- E is for Elephant Art and Craft Activity!
I love going on field trips with my preschool students. I just love how they find everything fascinating.
In their innocent eyes everything is magical and wonderful; something that we have already lost as adults.
That’s why I bask in this kind of experiences with my students. It’s my effective way of going back in time and just enjoying the simplest things.
Just like our last visit to the zoo. The kids and I had a blast feeding and taking pictures of the animals.
And the main attraction of that rip was when my preschoolers rode the elephants. All of my little ones were fearless as they got on the elephant’s back. As for me, I took almost a thousand pictures of them (Thank you, smart phone!)
Following our trip to the zoo, I decided to do an alphabet art and craft with my students.
It was an easy decision because I know my students are still beaming from their recent elephant encounter.
And I was correct! My students loved the art activity!
Aside from grabbing my students’ interest, this fun craft activity is also good for:
- to master the letter E through a visual cue (image of an elephant) and auditory cue (beginning sound of the word elephant)
- Develop fine motor skills
- Encourage creativity and foster imagination
