You and your little one will love this fun preschool activity- L is for Lamp Art and Craft Activity!

I love bringing regular household objects in the classroom. I do it to surprise my students. At the same time, I use it as an ice breaker.
One time, I brought a lamp to school. It was such a hit to my students! With a simple house appliance, I was able to learn a lot of things about my students that I otherwise would not have uncovered.
Here are some surprising feedbacks and stories and stories that I got from my students:
- One of my students’ mom can’t sleep with the lights off
- All of my students sleep with the lights off
- A couple of my students have experienced playing shadow games with their parents
- One of my students is afraid of touching a lamp because she’s afraid to burn her hands
Since I have already piqued their interest and curiosity, I prepared a cute and easy art activity for my students. This alphabet craft links their excitement about lamps to the letter L.
In addition, this alphabet craft targets the following learning objectives:
- Master the letter L through a visual cue (image of a lamp) and an auditory cue (beginning sound of the letter L)
- Develop fine motor skills
- Foster creativity and imagination

Very nice post.
Great site. Thank you for the ideas and materials for /l/–sending to a child’s home to make a lamp during distance-learning.
