Download these Parts of the Body Worksheets for free to help your child learn everything about body parts. Learning about the parts of the body is one of the most exciting topics for preschoolers. They love pointing to their nose, wiggling their fingers, and clapping their hands—so why not turn that natural curiosity into a fun and meaningful learning experience?

In my classroom, I use a variety of free parts of the body worksheets to help children identify, name, and understand how each body part works. These worksheets are simple to use and require little to no prep—perfect for busy teachers and parents like us. And they also complement these Parts of the Body Flashcards perfectly!
Here are some of the worksheet types I use, and how I incorporate them into our learning routine.
Identify the Body Parts Worksheets
This is where we always begin. The Identify the Body Parts Worksheets include a basic diagram of a boy or girl with blank labels. Students either match words to the correct body part or write the name themselves, depending on their level.
During circle time, I usually introduce this worksheet after a quick “Simon Says” game. I say things like, “Touch your shoulders!” or “Wiggle your toes!”—and the kids absolutely love it. Once they’re familiar with the vocabulary, they’re more confident and excited to fill out the worksheet.
Sometimes, I even let them color the pictures after labeling. It’s a nice way to reinforce learning while keeping it fun.
Parts of the Body Word Search
Next, I introduce the Parts of the Body Word Search for a bit of a challenge. This is especially great for kids who are beginning to read and recognize words independently.
In my class, I use the word search as a quiet-time activity or as a reward for finishing other tasks. What I love about it is that it sharpens their observation skills while reinforcing spelling. And yes, it’s just as exciting to my preschoolers as it is to my first graders!
I always remind them: “It’s okay if you don’t find all the words today. We’re just practicing!”
Choose the Correct Body Part
This activity is very helpful for reinforcing vocabulary in a more visual way. The Choose the correct body part worksheets usually come in the form of multiple-choice or matching pictures to words.
To make it interactive, I sometimes cut out the choices and turn it into a mini-game. I’d ask, “Which one helps you smell?” and the students would hold up the correct picture. It’s simple, but very effective—especially for visual learners.
This type of worksheet also helps with comprehension, since they’re learning to associate body parts with functions.
Identifying Sense Organs
One of my favorite lessons is teaching about the five senses. That’s why I created Identifying Sense Organs worksheets that go beyond just labeling. These sheets ask questions like, “Which body part do you use to hear music?” or “Circle the body part that helps you taste.”
I always bring in real objects during this lesson—like flowers for smelling or bells for hearing. After the hands-on activity, the worksheet becomes a great way to reinforce what we just explored.
This approach helps children understand that body parts aren’t just names—they have important jobs too!
