Here is an extremely easy art and craft for your preschoolers. It’s fun to make plus it requires only a few materials!
My students especially love this Halloween-themed art because of its eyes.
Yup! You read that right. My preschoolers just love the popping big eyes of this mummy art. They love the idea of partially covering the mummy’s eyes.
Aside from its entertainment value, this art and craft activity targets the following learning objectives.
- Recognise colors
- Develop fine motor skills
- Encourage creativity
- Follow directions
Mummy Art and Craft Activity
Materials:
- Paper plate
- Gauze, tissue or crepe paper
- Colored paper
- Scissors
- Glue
Directions:
- Prepare cut-outs for the mummy’s face- eyes, mouth.
- Cut strips of gauze, tissue or crepe paper.
- Paste the cut-out parts accordingly.
- Cover the mummy art with strips of gauze or tissue.
