Learning the letters of the alphabet is one of the foundations of preschool life. And that’s the main reason why The Teaching Aunt loves sharing her free alphabet worksheets!

We now live in a world where access to educational content is so easy. Everything has just gone digital. Even learning happens online!
Does this mean that traditional learning materials such as flashcards and worksheets are now obsolete?
What materials are we supposed to provide to our preschool children? Does watching YouTube videos count?
Well, the world may have changed a lot these past few years, but don’t throw your flashcards and worksheets just yet.
Flashcards, wall cards, storybooks, coloring books, charts and posters help provide visual cues to children to help them make associations faster and more efficiently. Not to mention the handling of these materials helps with sensory learning, fine motor and gross motor development, language acquisition, development of social skills, patience and so much more.
So to answer my own question: Printable alphabet worksheets still work!
Now that we have established the importance of printable preschool materials, the next question is: Where do we get free preschool worksheets and flashcards?
Well… from The Teaching Aunt, of course!
In this post you will see my growing collection of free alphabet printables in PDF file. So far, I have tracing worksheets, coloring pages, flashcards, wall cards and more! Feel free to check them all out. I promise it’ll be worth it. 🙂
This is the result of my more than a decade long experience of teaching preschool children. Preschool and kindergarten worksheets and flashcards that I’ve made throughout the years that I want to share with you so that you can use it in your classrooms or at home.
Worksheets and flashcards are not the only tools I use for teaching the alphabet. But I consider them a great supplement. As much as possible I make sure that I have fun and creative activities to start them off with letters.
Songs, arts and craft activities and storytelling are my favourite springboard to teaching the alphabet. And then comes the flashcards and worksheets. 🙂 I say, balance is key.
So without further ado, just click on the link and you’ll be redirected to the post where you can download the printable for free. It’s that easy!
