Calendar Worksheets and Flashcards

Understanding the concept of time is crucial for young children. It helps them develop a sense of routine, enhances their organizational skills, and prepares them for more complex time-related concepts in the future. Calendar worksheets and flashcards are excellent tools to introduce these ideas in a simple and interactive way.

Using a calendar is an important life skill. It’s actually part of our daily classroom routine. And so I spend the whole school year teaching it!

To teach about the calendar, I introduce the days of the week and the months of the year to start off the lesson. I make sure that children understand and know the days and months in order. And then I proceed to teaching them about the calendar.

Below are a couple of my favorite materials that I use in my classroom.

Boosting Memory and Recall: Flashcards are a great way to reinforce memory skills. Regular practice helps children remember the order of days and months.
